Job Purpose
Supports management in accomplishing group goals by providing operational and day-to-day supervision of Accounts Receivable Clerks. Plans and directs day-to-day operations and workflow and assesses, develops and trains Accounting Clerks; Makes hiring and firing recommendations for the department that are given particular weight.
Essential Job Results
Promotes quality customer care by developing, communicating, interpreting and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Identifies, recommends and implements quality improvement processes. Establishes and monitors high standard for business confidentiality and data management. Conducts internal reviews of group results and acts as a technical resources as needed. Reviews & approves all manual billing spreadsheets for processing. Serves as the main backup for processing the billing (spreadsheets & static feeds) and associated logs. Coordinates with all departments & ensure they are trained when billing corrections occur, as well as coordinate with IT when system issues with billing occur. Serves as liaison to banks for resolution of any banking issues that are prohibitive to efficiency and are not in adherence to established banking procedures. Ensures deposit edits are completed in a timely manner to correct any misapplied payments prior to statement generation. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures surrounding unidentified payments and other specialized payments. Coordinates activities with other Finance areas to meet accounting/department standards and processing schedules. Assists Company managers with questions about the status of customer accounts. Contributes to team effort by coordinating or participating in special projects such as records management or preparation of miscellaneous schedules on an as needed basis.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years accounts receivable experience, including assignments involving work direction or supervision Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must possess a high level of interpersonal & customer service skills to collaborate with all internal & external customers. Able to gain knowledge of statement charges to assist internal & external customers and ensure document is kept up to date. Must possess the ability to research, review and quickly assess a situation to provide superior customer care with clear & concise communication
Pay and Work Schedule
Hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 Annually, depending on experience. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am. to 5:00 pm.
