Job Purpose
Our Worldwide Sales Operations department is in need of an experienced individual to support our efforts in maximizing Best Western's competitive position in the corporate marketplace and travel agent channels by executing new and existing initiatives that increase business for our member properties through the various distribution channels (i.e. traditional agency, online booking tools and GDS). The Associate Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, developing and implementing recommendations and/or strategies to achieve sales goals for assigned products, services or programs.
  • Identify emerging trends in the travel community in order to develop and execute plans with our sales directors to adopt new technology to respond to client needs.
  • Project management of hospitality/travel trade shows/events.
  • Developing and producing marketing and sales collateral materials.
  • Generating project plans, proposals and/or promotions for Worldwide Sales.
  • Executes sales programs and the design and development of support resources such as web sites, directories, solicitations, training and educational materials. Promotes education and enhances communication with members, affiliates and WWS Managers.
  • Contributing to the department's financial compliance by developing or administering annual budgets and negotiating with outside vendors as needed.

    Skills/Requirements
  • 2-5 years related experience in marketing or hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience property level marketing & sales preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or related field, or an equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Prior experience working with 3rd party distribution channels (ie., GDS, Pegasus, Agency Desktop apps) and online and self booking tools is helpful.
  • Exhibits strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
