Essential Job Results

Provides project design support by assisting in developing and presenting designs.  Interprets design requirements and layouts.  Helps prepare drawings and specifications for new construction and existing properties.

Provides Design Excellence program support by reviewing recent property photographs, and delivers a comparative analysis of the property improvement plan by interpreting each item with the existing Member design guidelines.  Provides updates to property improvement plan based on comparative analysis.

Provides functional assistance by maintaining the library of interior design materials and resources.

Supports design projects by participating in special assignments such as conventions and trade shows.

Develops technical knowledge by attending design related trade shows and pursuing educational and training opportunities.

Promotes compliance with Company and professional design standards by providing members, and conditional applicants, with support for non-compliant design items related to recent QA assessments or post-activation extensions on property improvement plans.

Experience

  • Entry level position in interior architecture/design.

Education

  • Associates Degree in Architecture/Design or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD 2000+).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in comprehension of Design Guidelines.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on design terminology.
  • Ability to diplomatically communicate deficiencies and required changes.

Other Requirements

  • May travel up to 10% of work time.
  • Location is typically remote 2 days per week and onsite at Headquarters (HQ) 3 days per week. HQ address is 6201 N 24th Parkway in Phoenix, AZ)
