Best Western Hotels & Resorts is a leading, global hospitality network comprised of three hotel companies, including WorldHotels® Collection, Best Western® Hotels & Resorts and SureStay Hotel Group®.

The Insurance Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring global compliance with the Best Western International, Inc (BWI) Property Insurance Compliance standards.

The Insurance Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Working with third party partners, property owners, insurance brokers, agents, and carriers, and internal departments to ensure compliance with the requirements. Properties that do not comply with the insurance requirements may be subject to hearings, booking restrictions, and/or termination.
  • Coordinates remediation efforts with BWI's Legal, Brand Management and Executive Teams.
  • Maintains the global inventory of BWI insurance policies and works with designated insurance brokers to ensure policies are renewed and coverage is appropriate.
  • Ensures that BWI obtains and issues COIs to cover liabilities for various meetings, events, and activities.
  • Track compliance with the Property Insurance standards by monitoring reports from the third party COI processor and coordinating appropriate responses and reports.
  • Maintain the inventory of BWI insurance policies and facilitate coverage and renewal activities with BWI brokers to ensure that appropriate coverage and policies are maintained.
  • Resolve property and BWI insurance compliance issues with a positive attitude and eagerness to find a viable solution.
  • Assist the Treasury department on an as needed basis to enter wires or transfers


  • At least two year’s experience in commercial insurance policy processing and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and COI's.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Ability to interpret compliance with the BWI Property Insurance Compliance standards.
  • Ability to work with broad spectrum of stakeholders including properties, insurance brokers, agents, and carriers, and internal departments
  • Ability to deliver a compliance decision fairly, politely, and firmly, with a clear message.
