IT Business Analyst

Develops business solutions by analyzing requirements, designing computer programs and/or recommending system controls and protocols. Creates, assesses and maintains documentation for end users and/or vendors.
Essential Job Results
Determines business systems objectives by studying business functions and evaluating end user requests. Contributes business and technical analysis to determine technical feasibility and project return on investment. Delivers reliable high performance applications and technical services.
Recommends business solutions by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts, reviewing system capabilities and/or writing detailed specifications. Translates business requirements into functional specifications.
Enhances systems, processes, and policies by evaluating current design and recommending modifications. Identifies problems and revises procedures. Develops user acceptance criteria and high level test plans and participates in user acceptance testing.
Identifies and documents project requirements. Analyzes complex system and business processes and recommends innovative solutions.
Supports business solutions that meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements by conducting wide range of quality control tests and analyses. Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved.
Prepares technical reports to summarize results and/or trends. May act as project manager for small projects as assigned.
Protects the Company by handling business sensitive information with appropriate confidentiality.
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in business/functional analysis and use case development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic project management skills including the ability to direct control and manage projects through completion preferred.
- Proven analytical, time management and written and verbal communication skills.
