Bring your expertise in customer care and ensure an overall positive experience for stake holders as an Insurance Specialist for Member Hotels in the Accounting & Finance Group at Best Western Hotels & Resorts.

We are seeking an organized and detail oriented individual with an outgoing personality who has the ability to diplomatically handle member relations communications, as well as the judgment to escalate issues as appropriate. Your demonstrated previous team work experience is vital in this role as you coordinate with various departments at Best Western to confirm the accuracy of information and that a streamlined process continues. As an Insurance Specialist based in our offices in Phoenix, Arizona, you will support the Company's risk management and loss prevention programs by facilitating the insurance compliance process for Best Western hotels, as well as supporting the Company's annual insurance renewal process. A keen attention to detail and organization is critical as you also facilitate Best Western's annual corporate insurance renewal by working directly with the Company's insurance broker, participating in strategy renewals and assisting with the completion of risk analysis and policy application; including general, excess, cyber, auto, workers' compensation, Directors & Officers, property, etc. Collaboration will be key to this role, as well as the following experience and skills:

Experience:

  • Twelve plus months related experience in a fast-paced corporate, administrative environment with exposure to insurance fundamentals

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Accountability:

  • Receives operational guidance on duties, service standards and goals

Leadership:

  • Exhibits personal characteristics and professional standards that serve as a role model for others

Knowledge:

  • Familiar with relevant policies, procedures and guidelines specific to the job

Relationship Management:

  • Conveys and obtains information both internal and external to the department.  Uses written, verbal or electronic skills effectively
