Join Best Western Hotels & Resorts for an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in property revenue management while utilizing your solid interpersonal skills to handle not only the numbers side of our business, but also the people side.  You will be a trusted adviser to the 9-10 hotels that fall within your portfolio - a trust that will be built upon your expertise, focus on client service and a strong ability to partner with your hotels for optimum success.  This is a highly responsible position that requires someone not only driven to succeed in their own career, but with 60 percent of your assigned properties annual goal surrounding the hotel performance increasing year over year you are instrumental in driving their success as well.  Expertise in this function will build your credibility as a subject matter expert and display your professionalism and adaptability as you explain critical information to property management through concise verbal and written skills.  Many roles can claim an appreciative effect on the bottom line of an organization, but in this position the numbers speak for themselves.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult weekly with hotels on pricing, rate strategy and yield management
  • Advise hotels on third party website marketing, online media presence, social media and consumer review sites
  • Use industry reporting to evaluate success of assigned hotels
  • Identify and develop revenue opportunities
  • Perform competitive market analysis on a weekly basis
  • Create and maintain demand forecasts and pace reports for each property
  • Conduct all rate changes on behalf of each property using the Property Management System and Best Western’s proprietary systems
  • Consult with hotels on corporate, group and negotiated rates

Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work from home uninterrupted
  • A minimum of five years of hotel experience in a revenue management role, preferably with multi-property experience
  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel (between 3 to 8 times per year)
  • A Certified Hotel Revenue Manager (CHRM) or Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) certification or the ability to acquire either certification within one year
