Job Summary
Accomplishes departmental results by providing strategic planning and direction for human resources strategies in support of the Company’s business objectives and competitive position in the marketplace.
Essential Job Results
- Manages employee relations issues to support fair and equitable treatment of employees and to limit legal risk for the Company.
- Ensures compliance with all employment laws.
- Responds to and thoroughly investigates employee relations needs to ensure timely and consistent practices, considering all legal implications, to mitigate risk and diagnose root cause. Partners with client groups and Legal to properly document employment actions.
- Promotes effective communication by developing and delivering relevant and timely information to management and client groups.
- Maintains current knowledge of all applicable U.S. state and federal employment laws. Partners with Legal to address international employment matters.
- Ensures that HR actions are consistently administered in compliance with Company requirements.
- Coaches and provides guidance to business leaders on trends and topics which enable them to lead their organizations effectively.
- Promotes, elevates, and adds value to our employer brand by identifying, creating, and implementing human resources initiatives, programs, and policies.
- Partners closely with department heads to provide guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development. Conducts ad hoc training on HR-related topics.
- Exercises fiscal responsibility.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience
- Minimum 8 to 10 years employee/labor relations experience and human resources management level experience.
- International HR experience a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field or an equivalent experience.
- HR certification (e.g. SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS database. Experience using Workday preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand the company’s business goals and challenges.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), conflict management, relationship building, and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and self-organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and trust.
Other Requirements
- Position is currently hybrid, with requirement to be onsite at least 3 days per week. HQ (address is 6201 N 24th Parkway in Phoenix, AZ)
- Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- This position does not provide any relocation assistance.
