Job Purpose

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interior Design Project Services Manager to lead and oversee the administrative and operational aspects of our interior design projects. This role is responsible for managing the teams that handle lead generation, contract development, project tracking, and project execution through to completion. The ideal candidate is a strong people manager with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive accountability, and ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Development: Take ownership of generating and managing a pipeline of new interior design projects by proactively identifying opportunities, guiding initial client engagement, and ensuring compelling sales and marketing materials are aligned with our brand and business objectives.
  • Workload Management and Resource Planning: Establishes and maintains a system to balance workloads across the project team, ensuring equitable distribution and early identification of capacity challenges. Proactively addresses imbalances by identifying obstacles and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and maintain project timelines.
  • Process Optimization and Change Leadership: Continuously evaluates and refines project workflows to improve efficiency and elevate service delivery. Leads the implementation of process enhancements with minimal disruption, fostering team alignment and enthusiasm for adopting improved ways of working.
  • Project Tracking and Accountability: Provides clear direction and ongoing support for effective project tracking practices, ensuring timely and accurate updates across all initiatives. Fosters a strong sense of ownership around project timelines and leverages creative, engaging approaches to keep teams aligned, motivated, and on schedule.
  • Client Relationship and Communication Leadership: Provides direction and fosters a culture of ownership in managing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Guides the team in maintaining clear communication across clients, suppliers, and internal partners, and supports consultative selling to gain alignment on design solutions. Leads resolution of escalated issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Member Satisfaction and Project Success: Ensures a positive client experience from project initiation through completion by implementing a proven project model focused on meeting expectations and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience in project management, design, or purchasing, and a minimum of 2 years’ people management experience.
  • An ideal candidate will present a mix of professional level experience to include commercial/hospitality interior design, supply chain, and project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and Salesforce preferred.
  • Fosters a spirit of teamwork by inspiring and motivating team members to achieve performance goals. Creates an environment of shared success between Design and Supply teams by recognizing their vital contributions and supporting their objectives—while balancing measurable outcomes to ensure successful project completion.

Work Location and Schedule

  • This is a hybrid position, requiring an onsite presence approximately 2+ days per week at our Headquarters office location.  The office address is 6201 N. 24th Parkway | Phoenix | 85016. May require additional days during monthly Board weeks.
  • Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Travel

  • May travel up to 10%.

  • Base pay will be determined based on several factors, which include but are not limited to: applicable skills, work experience, education, business needs, and market demands. 
  • This position is bonus eligible.
