Job Purpose
Assists Administrative Services management by providing operational and day-to-day work direction to Security Team.
Essential Job Results
- Assists Administrative Services management by training, coaching and mentoring new Security Officers. Provides work direction and oversight for day-to-day activities
- Assists in the development of team work schedule and coordinating workflow.
- Leads special safety and security projects, including security for special events.
- Helps ensure adherence to all security and safety related processes and procedures are followed by monitoring activities and recordkeeping. Provides monthly audits of employee and contractor badge database, to insure accuracy.
- Organizes, tracks and provides recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintains all safety and security equipment is in proper working order such as: fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc. by following-up on response to reported irregularities.
- Ensures controlled facility-access by providing day to day administration of the access control system including employee & contractor badge software, closed circuit television (CCTV) and the security alarm system.
Work Schedule/Location
- This position will work Tuesday through Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday and Saturday 3:00pm to 11:00pm - with Sunday and Monday off.
- This position will primarily work at our HQ Phoenix location - 6201 N 24th Parkway.
- May also provide coverage at North Phoenix location - 20400 North 29th Avenue
- 10% shift differential is paid for any hours worked 6pm to 6am.
- Flexibility to work other shifts for PTO coverage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years security experience in commercial or corporate environment.
Education
- High School diploma equivalent certification.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. .
- Working knowledge of Lenel software preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
- Sound communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Good presentation and training skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Other Requirements
- Extended periods of standing/walking/climbing stairs.
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and lift 50 lbs.
