Performs advanced maintenance and repair duties to support the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Applies specialized skills in HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems, while also contributing to administrative and operational support. Serves as a technical resource and collaborates with vendors and junior staff to ensure facility readiness and compliance.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Services auxiliary equipment and company vehicles, including mechanical adjustments and modifications.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date equipment logs, maintenance records, and warranty documentation.
  • Requisitions parts and supplies as needed to support maintenance activities.
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines in all work performed.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Leads or participates in special projects and diverse assignments as directed by management.
  • Coordinates with and oversees vendors and contracted service providers to ensure quality and timely work.
  • Acts as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced Facilities Representatives.
  • Order meals and supplies for the employee lunch program, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Support the Board of Directors and the executive committee with requested food and beverage services for meetings and events.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of trade school in HVAC, building maintenance, or a related technical field is preferred.  Minimum of 4 years' of progressive building maintenance experience in a facilities services environment, including HVAC (refrigeration repair) and preventative maintenance.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic controls, energy management systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety compliance standards.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Proficient in using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and serve as a technical resource.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity and ability to climb to roof or top of facilities (40–50 ft).
  • Mobility includes ability to pull cable, crawl, bend, kneel, and stretch.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours; may need to be available for calls 24 hours a day.
  • Valid driver’s license, serviceable automobile, and proof of insurance.

Work Location/Schedule

Working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm M-F at our North Phoenix Office, located at 20400 North 29th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ
